Who we are
Men of all ages and walks of life, single, married, divorced, of different cultures and many personal situations.
What we do
Together we spend time with our Lord and His Word, sharing the hope of salvation in Christ as men do, sharing pain and joy, holding each other accountable and encouraging each other to run the race that is set before us.
Why we do it
As men we are naturally more at risk of neglecting and not investing in our relationships – with our Creator God, our families, friends and fellow men. Too often we “light our own fires” when we should be running with the torch of God’s truth in our lives:
Who among you fears the LORD and obeys the word of his servant? Let the one who walks in the dark, who has no light, trust in the name of the LORD and rely on their God. But now, all you who light fires and provide yourselves with flaming torches, go, walk in the light of your fires and of the torches you have set ablaze. This is what you shall receive from my hand: You will lie down in torment.
Isaiah 50: 10-11 (NIV)
How we do it:
We meet once a week early in the morning in two separate locations (Zug & Horgen).
We usually work through a specific topic by using the Bible and an easy-to-read book. We discuss and work our way through the topic chapter by chapter.
We come together every few years for a men’s retreat weekend (2010 in St. Moritz, 2008 in Ascona).
We look forward to welcoming you in our midst – even if you can only make it irregularly due to travels!
