Weekly Prayer Topics

Each week all the Lift Small Groups pray in concert focusing on a particular topic. Whether you are in a small group or not, join us by reading about this week's prayer topic on the Lift Facebook page. If you can’t make it to your small group on a given week or it isn’t meeting, you can find out how to pray with us as a church anyway. Let’s see how God responds to us all calling on Him together on a regular basis for specific requests in unity!

Prayer Topic this week: A peaceful transition for children into the new school year

Scripture: Philippians 3:13-14
"Brothers and sisters, I do not consider myself yet to have taken hold of it. But one thing I do: Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead, I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus."

1. Pray for a smooth transition from the old into the new (schools, grades or experiences).
2. Pray for anxiety and stress of the unknown to be replaced by trust in Jesus.
3. Pray that Jesus would help our children & parents to transition successfully from negative experiences of the past (bullying, abuse by teachers and peers) into a bright and prosperous future.
4. Pray for God’s protection and provision over our children.

Thank you for praying with us.

Prayer Meetings at Lift

Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. (Philippians 4:6 NIV)

Prayer is a key element of our faith, as well as an instruction from the word of God. It's a part of the concepts of "Body: Service and Ministry", "Grow: Discipleship" and "Belong: Fellowship"

“And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the saints.” (Ephesians 6:18 NIV)

We encourage you to join us at our prayer meetings to pray for your needs and others' as we reach out to God and petition Him, with thanksgiving as well, as he answers our call.
