Lift Ministries & Community

All are welcome at Lift, regardless of background. At the same time, Lift is clearly a Christian church and as followers of Jesus Christ, the teaching and ministries are biblically based. But yes, all are welcome and have an international community here in Zug to belong to, even if one’s background is of another religion or non-religious upbringing. We call this the Lift "Community" in which anyone can attend Lift.

For some, as followers of Jesus (Christians), who desire to be more involved in our church, serving and giving in some capacity, perhaps leading various ministries and/or studies as well, we call this "The Body" of Lift. Furthermore, as 1st Timothy and Titus provide biblical standards as to pastors, elders and deacons, the Elders at Lift are charged with the spiritual leadership of our church supported by ministry leads who lead specific ministries and together in a Christ-like manner serve and support the Body, which in turn serves and supports the Community and beyond, quite the opposite of today’s worldview of corporate leadership. That’s the point, being "Christ like" with a focus on His Message and methods in changing people’s lives, not on business structures and bureaucracy!

We use the following Metaphors within Lift which you we see being used quite often which represents elements of our Christian walk:

Whether you are young or old, male or female, married or single, new to faith or have known Jesus for most of your life, YOU are created by God with special gifts, talents and abilities! These different attributes, all put together, build up our church body so we benefit more a whole rather than individuals!

Paul writes in the Bible using the body as a metaphor:

Have a look at some of the ministries of Lift and where you can serve as part of the body! Or perhaps, start a new ministry where your passion is! There are ministries waiting that we haven’t even considered yet!
